Further, the minister announced that 397 more people had contracted cholera in the past 24 hours and these new cases have been recorded from seven provinces with Lusaka being the most affected recording 314 cases alone.

Masebo also disclosed that as of 06:00 hours today, the National Heroes Cholera Centre had 227 males, 105 females and 157 children in admission.

“We continue noticing zero deaths at this facility as we did not lose any patient in the last 24 hours, and as the ministry, we continue making steady progress in protecting our people through the administration of oral cholera vaccines,” said Masebo.

Cholera is real and deadly, but it can be prevented. If you experience diarrhea or vomiting, do not delay! Seek medical help at your nearest health facility immediately.
