Entertainment Extravaganza
The Rand Show’s entertainment lineup was nothing short of spectacular. Attendees grooved to the beats of local DJs and artistes, with performances by renowned musicians such as Jesse Clegg, Pabi Cooper, Mellow and Sleazy, and Kamo Mphela.
The Craft Area Stage came alive with Louise Carver’s powerful vocals and emotive lyrics. Dance group, Soweto’s Finest, dazzled the audiences daily, adding rhythm and energy to the festivities.
Government Organisations in the Spotlight
The Rand Show always provides a unique platform for government organisations to engage with the public. Prominent departments like the South African Police Service (SAPS), the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) as well as the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police showcased their services and interacted with curious visitors.
Children and adults alike had the chance to understand the inner workings of these vital institutions.
SAPS
Letsema La Bana, an initiative supporting families of fallen SAPS officers, received heartfelt attention. The community learned about SAPS’ commitment to safety and justice.
SANDF
Celebrating its 20th appearance at the Rand Show, SANDF wowed crowds with displays of artillery, infantry, and support capabilities. Visitors explored military equipment, engaged with health services, and witnessed live performances in the Court of Military Judge.
METRO
The Metro authorities explained their role in maintaining urban infrastructure and ensuring public safety. Visitors gained insights into city management and emergency response.
